Principal Duties
*Operate equipment including K Loaders, forklifts, and other specialized airfield-based machinery and/or vehicles
*Ground-guide supporting other Airfield Equipment Operators
*Inspect, wash, and perform operator level of maintenance on equipment in accordance with standards
*Follow related safety regulations, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures
*Ensure equipment is properly utilized, maintained, and stored
*Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and office duties
*Perform other duties as assigned
Experience, Education, & Knowledge
*Minimum three (3) years of experience operating flight line equipment
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Valid Driver’s License
*Required AF 171 documented training (preferred) or civilian equivalent in operating 25K NGSL (Next Generation Small Loader), 60K Aircraft Cargo Loader/Transporter (Tunner)
*Additional AF 171 documented training (preferred) or civilian equivalent in operating Airfield Tow Tractors (Tugs), Truck-Mounted Airstairs, 30T Main Deck Loader but civilian equivalent acceptable
*Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently to coordinate movement with air traffic control tower, air cargo leads, and understand equipment load charts
*Familiar with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
*Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled
*Ability to work from elevated loader platforms and onboard aircraft positioning cargo
*Will work in close proximity to running aircraft
*Living and working conditions at assignment location will be remote and uncomfortable
*Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
*Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
