Property Book GFE (Overseas)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Loss, Theft, Damage and Destruction (LTDD) and DCMA etools database for the reporting and disposition of GFE/P, and Loss, (LTDD) of GFE/P.


Under the supervision of the GFE Property Manager, manages Property Book using an approved Property Accounting System. Performs and/or directs the property accounting functions prescribed by appropriate Army Regulations, DA Pamphlets, Federal Acquisition Requisition, SOW and Property Management Plan. Detects deficiencies/errors, determined causes and initiates corrective action.


  • Assists GFE Property Manager in day to day operations. Maintains property book and hand receipt accountability using property accounting system for all assigned GFE Property.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to office personnel to include all hand receipt holders on issues, turn ins.
  • Maintains and manages the supporting document files, document registers, hand receipts, and monthly cyclic inventories as directed by supervisor.
  • Report, prepare and maintain records of Loss, (LTDD} GFE/P assigned in support of the APS-5 Kuwait contract.
  • Have working knowledge of DCMA etools database for the reporting and disposition of GFE/P, and Loss, (LTDD) of GFE/P.
  • Furnishes input to the Government Property Administrator in planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Ensures the work among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization to assure timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.
  • Processes relief of accountability transactions documents.
  • Coordinates with supported elements/activities and Department Resource Management Office involving issues and turns ins of GFE Property.
  • Prepares and maintains adjustment documents such as, AAR, Lateral Transfers, and Change Documents. 1 1. Performs other duties and assignments as required.


Office automation equipment to include desktop computer, printers, digital fax machine, shredder. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.


Work is generally conducted in a shop environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions .


Work will require prolonged standing, prolonged sitting. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules.


Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Associates Degree or above.


Minimum of two years in Property Book Management experience. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Requisition (FAR), AR 710- 2, DA Pam 710-2 and AR 735-5.

Skills :

Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must have the ability to plan, organize, and delegate job assignments to achieve mission requirements.
